Federal Register / Vol. 81, No. 78 / Friday, April 22, 2016 / Notices
Petitioner: Airlines for America.
Sections of 14 CFR Affected: 61.3(a)
and (c); 63.3(a); and 121.383(a)(3).
Description of Relief Sought: Airlines
for America (A4A) requests an
amendment to Exemption No. 5487K.
That exemption from §§ 61.3(a) and (c),
63.3(a), and 121.383(a)(2) allows an air
carrier to issue written confirmation of
an FAA-issued crewmember certificate
to a flight crewmember employed by
that air carrier based on information in
the air carrier’s approved record system.
With the flight deck becoming more and
more paperless, A4A requests that the
FAA allow the temporary confirmation
to be provided through an electronic
document.
