verify continued eligibility for benefits
of a retiree receiving hard copy checks
in a foreign country. DFAS Form 1800/
98 is used as a second notice, and
subsequently, DFAS Form 1800/99 is
used as a third notice and payment
suspended if not completed and
returned.
Affected Public: Individuals and
Households.
Annual Burden Hours: 75.
Number of Respondents: 150.
Responses per Respondent: 2.
Annual Responses: 300.
Average Burden per Response: 15
minutes.
Frequency: Bi-annually.
Respondents are retirees living in a
foreign country who receive a hard copy
check mailed to them. Payments are
suspended if the DFAS Form 1800–99 is
not returned.
