Abstract: The William D. Ford Direct
Loan Program regulations cover areas of
program administration. These
regulations are in place to minimize
administrative burden for program
participants, to determine eligibility for
and provide program benefits to
borrower, and to prevent fraud and
abuse of program funds to protect the
taxpayers’ interests. This request is for
a revision of the current OMB approval
of reporting and record-keeping related
to the administrative requirements of
the Direct Loan program.
