SUMMARY:
The Pacific Northwest
National Scenic Trail Advisory Council
(Council) will meet in Port Townsend,
Washington. The Council is authorized
under Section 5(d) of the National Trails
System Act of 1968 (Act) and operates
in compliance with the Federal
Advisory Committee Act (FACA).
Additional information concerning the
Council, including the meeting
summary/minutes, can be found by

DATES: The meeting will be held on the
following dates and times:
• Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PDT.

• Friday, May 6, 2016 from 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. PDT (optional field trip).

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
The
purpose of the meeting is to provide:
1. Review significant resources and
current trail uses along the PNNST;
2. Provide recommendations on the
Nature and Purposes of the PNNST,
including trail uses; and
3. Discuss potential interpretive
themes and strategies for youth and
community engagement on the PNNST.
The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda will include time for people
to make oral statements of three minutes
or less. Individuals wishing to make an
oral statement should submit a request
in writing by May 19, 2016, to be
scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who
would like to bring related matters to
the attention of the Council may file
written statements with the Council’s
staff before or after the meeting. Written
comments and time requests for oral
comments must be sent to Matt

SUMMARY:
The Shasta County Resource
Advisory Committee (RAC) will meet in
Redding, California. The committee is
authorized under the Secure Rural
Schools and Community SelfDetermination Act (the Act) and
operates in compliance with the Federal
Advisory Committee Act. The purpose
of the committee is to improve
collaborative relationships and to
provide advice and recommendations to
the Forest Service concerning projects
and funding consistent with Title II of
