Description of Relief Sought: Federal
Express Corporation (FedEx) petitions
for an exemption from § 121.438(b) to
allow pilots who are dual qualified in
the Boeing 757 (B757) and Boeing 767
(B767) aircraft to count the hours flown
in both airplanes toward the 75 hours of
flight time required by § 121.438(b).
FedEx also petitions for an exemption
from § 121.652(a) to combine pilot in
command (PIC) flight times logged on
either the B757 or B767 to meet the 100
hours PIC time required in order to
avoid being subject to higher minimums
in either aircraft type once the
combined flight time exceeds 100 hours.

Codification of Certain U.S.
Transportation Laws at 49 U.S.C.,
repealed the Airport and Airway
Improvement Act of 1982, as amended,
and the Aviation Safety and Noise
Abatement Act of 1979, as amended,
and re-codified them without
substantive change at Title 49, U.S.C.,
which is referred to as the ‘‘Act’’. The
Act provides funding for airport
planning and development projects at
airports included in the National Plan of
Integrated Airport Systems. The Act also
authorizes funds for noise compatibility
planning and to carry out noise
compatibility programs. The
information required by this program is
necessary to protect the Federal interest
in safety, efficiency, and utility of the
Airport. Data is collected to meet report
requirements of 2 CFR part 200 for
certifications and representations,
financial management and performance
measurement.

subject to review by aviation safety
inspectors (operations), designated to
provide surveillance to training centers
to ensure compliance with airman
training, testing, and certification

the 14 CFR.
