applicant proposes to replace the
project’s existing, non-operable
horizontal-double-runner turbine with a
double-regulated Kaplan unit. The
existing unit has a rated generating
capacity of 400 kilowatts (kW) and a
maximum hydraulic capacity of 355
cubic feet per second (cfs). The new unit
would have a rated generating capacity
of 500 kW and would operate with
flows ranging from approximately 100
cfs to 332 cfs.
