Abstract: VA Form 26–6393 is currently used by employees of both lending institutions and VA to determine the ability of a veteranapplicant to qualify for any type of VA guaranteed loan authorized by 38 U.S.C. 3710(a). Lenders complete and submit the form to provide evidence that the lender’s decision to submit a prior approval loan application or close a PO 00000 Frm 00189 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 9990 8361 loan on the automatic basis is based upon appropriate application of VA credit standards as required by 38 U.S.C. 3701(b) and 3710(g). An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published at 80 FR 26646 on October 21, 2015. Affected Public: Individuals or Households. Estimated Annual Burden: 125,000 hours. Estimated Average Burden per Respondent: 30 minutes. Frequency of Response: One-time.
