ACTION: Notice and request for comments. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to reinstate a previously discontinued information collection. AC Form 8050-5 is an application for a dealer's Aircraft Registration Certificate which, under 49 United States Code 1404, may be issued to a person engaged in manufacturing, distributing, or selling aircraft. DATES: Written comments should be submitted by March 7, 2016. ADDRESSES: Interested persons are invited to submit written comments on the proposed information collection to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget. Title: Dealer's Aircraft Registration Certificate Application. Form Numbers: FAA Form 8050-5. Type of Review: Reinstatement of an information collection. Background: The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on November 24, 2015 (80 FR 73266). Federal Aviation Regulation Part 47 prescribes procedures that implement 103, which provides for the issuance of dealer's aircraft registration certificates and for their use in connection with aircraft eligible for registration under this Act by persons engaged in manufacturing, distributing or selling aircraft. Dealer's certificates enable such persons to fly aircraft for sale immediately without having to go through the paperwork and expense of applying for and securing a permanent Certificate of Aircraft Registration. It also provides a system of identification of aircraft dealers. Respondents: Approximately 3,904 applicants. Frequency: Information is collected on occasion.
