mission of OAT/HRSA as well as
individual goals and objectives of the
program;
• Identify topics of interest for future
special studies; and
• Identify changes in healthcare
needs within rural communities,
allowing programs to shift focus in
order to meet those needs.
This revised request proposes changes
to existing measures. After compiling
data from the previous tool over the last
3 years, the Office conducted an
analysis of the data and compared the
findings with the program needs. Based
on the findings, the measures were
revised to better capture information
necessary to measure the effectiveness
of the program.
Likely Respondents: The likely
respondents will be telehealth
associations, telehealth providers, rural
health providers, clinicians that deliver
services via telehealth, technical
assistance providers, research
organizations, and academic medical
centers.
Burden Statement: Burden in this
context means the time expended by
persons to generate, maintain, retain,
disclose or provide the information
requested. This includes the time
needed to review instructions; to
develop, acquire, install and utilize
technology and systems for the purpose
of collecting, validating and verifying
information, processing and
maintaining information, and disclosing
and providing information; to train
personnel and to be able to respond to
a collection of information; to search
data sources; to complete and review
the collection of information; and to
transmit or otherwise disclose the
information. The total annual burden
hours estimated for this Information
Collection Request are summarized in
the table below.

I. Purpose
The Physician-Focused Payment
Model Technical Advisory Committee
(‘‘the Committee’’) is authorized by the
Medicare Access and CHIP
Reauthorization Act of 2015, 42 U.S.C.
1395ee. This Committee is governed by
the provisions of the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, as amended (5 U.S.C.
App.), which sets forth standards for the
formation and use of advisory
committees. In accordance with its
statutory mandate, the Committee is to
review physician-focused payment
model proposals and prepare
recommendations regarding whether
such models meet criteria that will be
established through rulemaking by the
Secretary of the Department of Health
and Human Services (DHHS) (the
Secretary). The Committee is composed
of 11 members appointed by the
Comptroller General with staggering
terms of 1, 2, and 3 years as specified
in the authorizing legislation.
