The committee will also review Amendment 8 to the Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Plan. They will also review information and analyses which addresses concerns related to the Acceptable Biological Catch control rule, and localized depletion in inshore waters. The committee plans to discuss the potential for using state port-side monitoring data to monitor the River herring/Shad catch caps. The committee will also discuss 5-year research priorities for Atlantic herring (2017–22). They also will discuss a future action to consider revising the haddock catch cap accountability measure. Other business will be discussed as necessary. Although non-emergency issues not contained in this agenda may come before this group for discussion, those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting. Action will be restricted to those issues specifically listed in this notice and any issues arising after publication of this notice that require emergency action under section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Act, provided the public has been notified of the Council’s intent to take final action to address the emergency.
