(2) Title of the Form/Collection: Annual Progress Report for STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program. The STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grants Program was authorized through the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (VAWA) and reauthorized and amended in 2000, 2005, and 2013. Its purpose is to promote a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to improving the criminal justice system’s response to violence against women. The STOP Formula Grants Program envisions a partnership among law enforcement, prosecution, courts, and victim advocacy organizations to enhance victim safety and hold offenders accountable for their crimes of violence against women. OVW administers the STOP Formula Grants Program. The grant funds must be distributed by STOP state administrators to sub-grantees according to a statutory formula (as amended). (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond/reply: It is estimated that it will take the 56 respondents (STOP administrators) approximately one hour to complete an annual progress report. It is estimated that it will take approximately one hour for roughly 2500 sub-grantees 1 to complete the relevant portion of the annual progress report.
