The Proposal

    The FAA is proposing an amendment to Title 14 Code of Federal 
Regulations (14 CFR) Part 71 by establishing Class E airspace extending 
upward from 700 feet above the surface at Cottonwood Airport, 
Cottonwood, AZ. The Class E airspace area would be established within a 
4-mile radius of Cottonwood Airport, with a segment extending from the 
4-mile radius to 15 miles southeast of the airport. This action is 
necessary for the safety and management of standard instrument approach 
procedures for IFR operations at the airport.
    Class E airspace designations are published in paragraph 6005 of 
FAA Order 7400.9Y, dated August 6, 2014, and effective September 15, 
2014, which is incorporated by reference in 14 CFR 71.1. The Class E 
airspace designations listed in this document will be published 
subsequently in the Order.
