Abstract: Section 1.56(g)–1(r) of the
regulation sets forth rules pursuant to
section 56(g) of the Internal Revenue
Code that permit taxpayers to elect a
simplified method of computing their
inventory amounts in order to compute
their alternative minimum tax.
Current Actions: There is no change to
this existing regulation.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Business or other forprofit organizations.
