Under revisions to the current reporting requirements and Regulations, a streamlined procedure is being added that will allow manufacturers, under certain circumstances, to complete construction of their homes on-site rather than in the factory without first having to obtain advance approval from HUD. In addition, some information collected assists both HUD and State Agency’s in locating manufactured homes with defects, which then would create the need for notification and/or correction by the manufacturer.
