Guard will enforce a 1,000 foot safety
zone around the Berkeley Pier in
approximate position 37°51′40″ N.,
122°19′19″ W. (NAD 83) from 9:30 p.m.
until 10 p.m. on July 4, 2015. Upon the
commencement of the 30 minute
fireworks display, scheduled to begin at
9:30 p.m. on July 4, 2015, the safety
zone will encompass the navigable
waters around and under the Berkeley
Pier within a radius 1,000 feet in
approximate position 37°51′40″ N.,
122°19′19″ W. (NAD83) for the Fourth of
July Fireworks, Berkeley Marina in 33
CFR 165.1191, Table 1, Item number 8.
At the conclusion of the fireworks
display the safety zone shall terminate.
This safety zone will be in effect from
9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4, 2015.
Under the provisions of 33 CFR
165.1191, unauthorized persons or
vessels are prohibited from entering
into, transiting through, or anchoring in
the safety zone during all applicable
effective dates and times, unless
authorized to do so by the PATCOM.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Coast
Guard will enforce a safety zone in
navigable waters around and under the
fireworks barge within a radius of 100
feet during the loading, transit, and
arrival of the fireworks barge to the
display location and until the start of
the fireworks display. From 12 p.m. on
July 3, 2015 until 3 p.m. on July 4, 2015
the fireworks barge will be loaded off of
Schneider Dock in Eureka, CA in
approximate position 40°47′50″ N.,
124°11′11″ W. (NAD 83). From 3 p.m. to
4 p.m. on July 4, 2015 the loaded barge
will transit from Schneider Dock to the
launch site off of Woodley Island near
Eureka, CA at approximate position
40°48′29′ N., 124°10′06″ W. (NAD 83)
where it will remain until the
commencement of the fireworks
display. Upon the commencement of the
25 minute fireworks display, scheduled
to begin at 10 p.m. on July 4, 2015, the
safety zone will increase in size to
encompass the navigable waters around
and under the fireworks barge within a
radius 1,000 feet at approximate
position 40°48′29″ N., 124°10′06″ W.
(NAD 83) for the Fourth of July
Fireworks, City of Eureka in 33 CFR
165.1191, Table 1, Item number 3. This
safety zone will be in effect from 12

ACTION:
The Coast Guard is
establishing temporary safety zone in
the waters of Lake Erie in the vicinity
of Lakeside, OH. This zone is intended
to restrict vessels from a portion of Lake
Erie during the fireworks event at
Lakeside. This temporary safety zone is
necessary to protect people and vessels
from the hazards associated with this
event.
SUMMARY:
This rule is effective from 9:30
p.m. until 10:45 p.m. on July 4, 2015.
