reporting requirements, record
preparation, and maintenance for this

informal Agency communication with
industry. Based on the number of
sponsors subject to animal drug user
fees, FDA estimates that there are 263
respondents. We use this estimate
consistently throughout the table and
calculate the ‘‘annual frequency per
respondent’’ by dividing the total
annual responses by number of
respondents. Additional information
needed to make a final calculation of the
total burden hours (i.e., the number of
respondents, the number of
recordkeepers, the number of NCIEs
received, etc.) is derived from Agency
records.

Faculty Loan Repayment Program OMB

Abstract: Under the HRSA Faculty
Loan Repayment Program, degreetrained health professionals from
disadvantaged health backgrounds may
enter into a contract under which the
Department of Health and Human
Services will make payments on eligible
educational loans in exchange for a
minimum of 2 years of service as a fulltime or part-time faculty member of an
accredited health professions college or
university.
Need and Proposed Use of the
Information: The Faculty Loan
Repayment Program needs to collect
data to determine an applicant’s
eligibility for the program. Information
is collected from the applicants and/or
the educational institutions which
includes general applicant data,
applicant educational loan history,
employment status, and information
regarding the educational institution
which employs the applicant.
Likely Respondents: Faculty Loan
Repayment Program applicants and
institutions providing employment to
the applicants.
Burden Statement: Burden in this
context means the time expended by
persons to generate, maintain, retain,
disclose or provide the information
requested. This includes the time
needed to review instructions; to
develop, acquire, install and utilize
technology and systems for the purpose
of collecting, validating and verifying
information, processing and
maintaining information, and disclosing
and providing information; to train
personnel and to be able to respond to
a collection of information; to search
data sources; to complete and review
the collection of information; and to
transmit or otherwise disclose the
information. The total annual burden
