These actions are intended to conserve Pacific halibut, provide angler opportunity where available, and minimize bycatch of overfished groundfish species. The sport fishing management measures in this rule are an additional subsection of the regulations for the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) published on March 17, 2015. Pursuant to the Northern Pacific Halibut Act of 1982 (Halibut Act) at 16 U.S.C. 773b, the Secretary of State accepted the 2015 IPHC regulations as provided by the Northern Pacific Halibut Act of 1982 (Halibut Act) at 16 U.S.C. 773–773k. NMFS published these regulations on March 17, 2015 (80 FR 13771). The Halibut Act provides that the Regional Fishery Management Councils may develop, and the Secretary may implement, regulations governing harvesting privileges among U.S. fishermen in U.S. waters that are in addition to, and not in conflict with, approved IPHC regulations. (Commission) announces that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) 
has approved, for a period of three years, information collection 
requirements associated with the Commission's Report and Order, GN 
Docket No. 12-268, FCC 14-50. This notice is consistent with the Report 
and Order, which stated that the Commission would publish a document in 
the Federal Register announcing OMB approval and the effective date of 
the requirements.
