The 15member Eastern Montana Resource
Advisory Council advises the Secretary
of the Interior through the BLM on a
variety of planning and management
issues associated with public land
management in Montana. At this
meeting the agenda will include: RAC
member and BLM staff introductions, a
Pumpkin Creek subcommittee progress
report, a report on the February RAC
chair meeting, individual RAC member
reports to BLM managers, Eastern
Montana/Dakotas District, Miles City
Field Office and Billings Field Office
progress reports and other issues the
RAC may choose to discuss during the
course of the meeting. This meeting is
open to the public and will have time
allocated for hearing public comments.
The public may also present written
comments to the council. Depending on
the number of persons wishing to
comment and the time available, the
time for individual oral comments may
be limited. Individuals who plan to
attend and need special assistance, such
as sign language interpretation, tour
transportation or other reasonable
accommodations should contact the
BLM as provided above.

The Beneski Museum of
Natural History, Amherst College
(formerly the Pratt Museum of Natural
History), in consultation with the
appropriate Indian tribes or Native
Hawaiian organizations, has determined
that the cultural items listed in this
notice meet the definition of
unassociated funerary objects. Lineal
descendants or representatives of any
Indian tribe or Native Hawaiian
organization not identified in this notice
that wish to claim these cultural items
should submit a written request to the
Beneski Museum of Natural History,
Amherst College. If no additional
claimants come forward, transfer of
control of the cultural items to the lineal
descendants, Indian tribes, or Native
Hawaiian organizations stated in this
notice may proceed.

items under the control of the Beneski

College that meet the definition of

U.S.C. 3001.
This notice is published as part of the
National Park Service’s administrative
responsibilities under NAGPRA, 25
U.S.C. 3003(d)(3). The determinations in
this notice are the sole responsibility of
the museum, institution, or Federal
agency that has control of the Native
American cultural items. The National
Park Service is not responsible for the
determinations in this notice.
