The purpose of this meeting is to advance discussion of specific topics of unique relevance to agriculture such as exploring best practices to maintain soil health, the impact of soil health as it relates to air and water quality and the relationship between soil health and extreme weather events across the country, in such a way as to provide thoughtful advice and useful insights to the Agency as it crafts environmental policies and programs that affect and engage agriculture and rural communities. Public Comment: Individuals or groups making oral presentations during the public comment period will be limited to a total presentation time of five minutes. The Commonwealth has adopted the Lead and Copper Rule Short Term Revisions which will provide for better public health protection by reducing potential reproductive and developmental health risks from lead. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that these revisions are no less stringent than the corresponding Federal regulations. EPA is taking action to tentatively approve these program revisions. All interested parties are invited to submit written comments on this determination and may request a public hearing.
