October 1, 1999, Delegation of Authority
No. 236–3 of August 28, 2000 (and, as
appropriate, Delegation of Authority No.
257 of April 15, 2003), I hereby
determine that the objects to be
included in the exhibition ‘‘Buddhist
Art of Myanmar,’’ imported from abroad
for temporary exhibition within the
United States, are of cultural
significance. The objects are imported
pursuant to loan agreements with the
foreign owners or custodians. I also
determine that the exhibition or display
of the exhibit objects at the Asia Society
Museum, New York, New York, from on
or about February 10, 2015, until on or
about May 10, 2015, and at possible
additional exhibitions or venues yet to
be determined, is in the national
interest. I have ordered that Public
Notice of these Determinations be
published in the Federal Register.

Secretary, the Deputy Secretary for
Management and Resources, and the
Under Secretary for Economic Growth,
Energy, and the Environment may at
any time exercise any authority or
function delegated by this delegation of
authority.
Any act, executive order, regulation,
or procedure subject to, or affected by,
this delegation shall be deemed to be
such act, executive order, regulation, or
procedure as amended from time to
time.
This delegation of authority shall be
published in the Federal Register.

By virtue of the authority vested in me as Secretary of State,
including Section 1 of the State Department Basic Authorities Act, as

for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs the
functions vested in the Secretary of State by the following:
