For rating purposes, the currently effective community number is shown and must be used for all new policies and renewals. The new or modified flood hazard information is the basis for the floodplain management measures that the community is required either to adopt or to show evidence of being already in effect in order to remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the ‘‘Stafford Act’’), as follows: I have determined that the damage in certain areas of the State of New York resulting from a severe winter storm, snowstorm, and flooding during the period of November 17–26, 2014, is of sufficient severity and magnitude to warrant a major disaster declaration under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the VerDate Sep<11>2014 22:02 Dec 30, 2014 Jkt 235001 ‘‘Stafford Act’’). Therefore, I declare that such a major disaster exists in the State of New York. You are further authorized to provide snow assistance under the Public Assistance program for a limited period of time during or proximate to the incident period.
