The small conduit hydropower project would be located at the exemptee’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, in Multnomah County, Oregon. On October 21, 2014, the exemptee filed an application with the Commission to surrender the exemption. The exemptee has reevaluated the economics of the project and has decided not to move forward with construction of the project, citing insufficient economic returns and cheaper alternatives in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Accordingly, the Commission accepts the exemptee’s surrender of its exemption from licensing, effective 30 days from the date of this notice, at the close of business on Thursday, December 18, 2014.
