61.160(b) and 61.169. The relief sought
would allow the petitioner to issue
documentation to pilots employed by
Empire Airlines to apply for an airline
transport pilot certificate with reduced
aeronautical experience. Empire
Airlines seeks to utilze these pilots’
initial basic indoctrination training,
general subjects training, type rating
training, and training that conforms to
Advisory Circular 61.138, in lieu of an
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
program with corresponding aviationrelated coursework at an institution of
high education which has received an
FAA Letter of Authorization.
