AGENCY:
Notice is hereby given,
pursuant to the provisions of the rules
and regulations of the U.S. Commission
on Civil Rights (Commission) and the
Federal Advisory Committee Act that
the Oklahoma Advisory Committee
(Committee) will hold a meeting on
Friday, December 12, 2014, at 3:00 p.m.
CST for the purpose of discussing
memoranda prepared by Committee
members on the following civil rights
topics: (1) Prisons: Incarceration of
women, disproportionality of AfricanAmerican males; (2) impact of 2012
referendum banning affirmative action
in public contracting, schools,
employment; (3) equal educational
opportunity in Oklahoma; and (4) rights
of Cherokee Freedmen. The Committee
will discuss which, if any, of these
topics will be the subject of study for
the Committee in the coming year.
Members of the public can listen to
the discussion. This meeting is available
to the public through the following tollfree call-in number: 888–510–1765,
