Notice is hereby given, pursuant to
the provisions of the rules and
regulations of the U.S. Commission on
Civil Rights (Commission) and the
Federal Advisory Committee Act
(FACA), that a planning meeting of the
Connecticut Advisory Committee to the
Commission will convene at 10:00 a.m.
(EDT) on Wednesday, August, 20, 2014,
at the Legislative Office Building,
Hearing Group Room 1D, 210 Capitol
Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. The
purpose of the planning meeting is to
discuss civil rights issues in
Connecticut, review project proposals,
and select a civil rights topic to examine
during their appointment term.
Members of the public are entitled to
submit written comments. The
comments must be received in the
regional office by Monday, September
22, 2014. Comments may be mailed to

215–11, an employee or applicant for
employment with the Department of
Commerce who alleges that he or she
has been subjected to discriminatory
treatment based on sexual orientation by
the Department of Commerce or one of
its sub-agencies, must submit a signed
statement that is sufficiently precise to
identify the actions or practices that
form the basis of the complaint.
Through use of this standardized form,
the Office of Civil Rights proposes to
collect the information required by the
Executive Order and DAO in a uniform
manner that will increase the efficiency
of complaint processing and trend
analyses of complaint activity.

Needs and Uses: The Annual Surveys
of State and Local Government Finances
collect data on state government
finances and estimates of local
government revenue, expenditure, debt,
assets, and pension systems nationally
and within state areas. The surveys
include the Annual Survey of State
Government Tax Collections, Annual
Survey of State Government Finances,
the Annual Survey of Local Government
Finances, and the Annual Survey of
Public Pensions. Data are collected for
all agencies, departments, and
institutions of the fifty state
governments and for a sample of all
local governments (counties,
municipalities, townships, and special
districts). This program is the only
known comprehensive source of state
and local government finance data
collected on a nationwide scale using
uniform definitions, concepts, and
procedures.
