If the NRC develops a regulatory basis sufficient to support a proposed rule, then there will be an opportunity for public comment when the proposed rule is published and the NRC will respond to such comments if and when it publishes a final rule. If the NRC develops draft supporting guidance for a proposed 10 CFR part 20 rulemaking, then the public, the regulated community, and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide comment on the draft guidance. VerDate Mar<15>2010 19:41 Jul 24, 2014 Jkt 232001 If the NRC decides not to pursue a 10 CFR part 20 rulemaking on this topic, the NRC will publish a document in the Federal Register that will generally address public comments and withdraw this ANPR.
