Abstract: Internal Revenue Code
section 404(a) allows employers an
income tax deduction for contributions
to their qualified deferred compensation
plans. Form 5309 is used to request an
IRS determination letter about whether
the plan is qualified under Code section
409 or 4975(e)(7).
Current Actions: There are no changes
being made to the form at this time.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.

Abstract: Under Internal Revenue
Code section 469, losses and credits
from passive activities, to the extent
they exceed passive income (or, in the
case of credits, the tax attributable to net
passive income), are not allowed. Form
8810 is used by personal service
corporations and closely held
corporations to figure the passive
activity loss and credits allowed and the
amount of loss and credit to be reported
on their tax return.
Current Actions: There are no changes
