Description of Permit Modification
Requested: The Foundation issued a
permit (ACA 2013–013) to Celia Lang on
August 20, 2012. The issued permit
allows the applicant to enter Ross Sea
Region protected areas for the purpose
of education and outreach activities.
The applicant proposes a
modification to his permit to add ASPA
172 Blood Falls. This ASPA did not
exist when the permit was issued. All
activities would be as described in the
original permit.
Location: ASPA 172 Blood Falls.
Dates: March 10, 2014 to August 31,
2017.

issued to conduct activities regulated
under the Antarctic Conservation Act of
1978. NSF has published regulations
under the Antarctic Conservation Act at
Title 45 Part 670 of the Code of Federal
Regulations. This is the required notice
of a requested permit modification.
DATES: Interested parties are invited to
submit written data, comments, or
views with respect to this permit
application by March 31, 2014. Permit
applications may be inspected by
interested parties at the Permit Office,
address below.

establishment of a permit system for
various activities in Antarctica and
designation of certain animals and
certain geographic areas a requiring
special protection. The regulations
establish such a permit system to
designate Antarctic Specially Protected
Areas.

ACTION: License amendment request;

AGENCY:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC) received and is
considering approval of six amendment
requests. The amendment requests are
for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating
Station, Units 1, 2, and 3; Catawba
Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2; McGuire
Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2; Indian
Point Nuclear Generating, Units 1, 2,
and 3; Palisades Nuclear Plant; and
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station.
For each amendment request, the NRC
proposes to determine that they involve
no significant hazards consideration. In
addition, each amendment request
contains sensitive unclassified nonsafeguards information (SUNSI).
DATES: Comments must be filed by
March 31, 2014. A request for a hearing
must be filed by April 28, 2014. Any
potential party, as defined in § 2.4 of
Title 10 of the Code of Federal
Regulations (10 CFR), who believes
