III. Proposed Action
OSHA is requesting that OMB extend
its approval of the information
collection requirements contained in the
regulation at 29 CFR Part 1904,
Recording and Reporting Occupational
Injuries and Illnesses. The Agency is
requesting to reduce its current burden
hour estimate associated with this
Standard from 2,967,237 to 2,714,085
hours for a total reduction of 253,152
hours. The Agency will summarize any
comments submitted in response to this
notice and will include this summary in
the request to OMB.

currently approved collection.
