The South Atlantic Fishery
Management Council (Council) will
hold a meeting via webinar to peer
review an assessment of the South
Atlantic Wreckfish stock.
DATES: The Wreckfish assessment peer
review will be held via a series of
webinars from 9 a.m. on Monday, March
17, 2014 through 5 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 19, 2014.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This
meetings are being held to provide a
peer review of a stock assessment of
Wreckfish in the South Atlantic. In
accordance with the Peer Review Policy

approved by the Council, the Scientific
and Statistical Committee (SSC)
reviewed a proposal to assess the
Wreckfish resource and recommended
process for peer review. The assessment
is expected to be completed by midFebruary, 2014. The peer review will be
based on Terms of Reference approved
by the Council.
The items in the agenda are as
follows:
1. Receive a presentation of
assessment findings.
2. Discuss the assessment.
3. Make peer review
recommendations.
Although non-emergency issues not
contained in this agenda may come
before this group for discussion, those
issues may not be the subject of formal
action during these meetings. Action
will be restricted to those issues
specifically listed in this notice and any
issues arising after publication of this
notice that require emergency action
under section 305(c) of the MagnusonStevens Fishery Conservation and
Management Act, provided the public
has been notified of the Council’s intent
to take final action to address the
emergency.
Special Accommodations
The meetings are physically
accessible to people with disabilities.
Requests for sign language
interpretation or other auxiliary aids
should be directed to the Council office
(see ADDRESSES) at least 10 business
days prior to the meeting.
