SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Under section 11 of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 (IGRA), Public Law 100–497, 25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq., the Secretary of the Interior shall publish in the Federal Register notice of approved Tribal-State compacts for the purpose of engaging in Class III gaming activities on Indian lands. The Compact between the State of California and the Fort Independence Indian Community of Paiute Indians allows for one gaming facility and authorizes the Tribe to operate up to 850 gaming devices. The Tribe will make revenue sharing payments for gaming devices operated in excess of 350. Finally, the term of the Compact is until December 31, 2034. The Secretary took no action on the Compact within 45 days of its submission by the Tribe and the State. Therefore, the Compact is considered to have been approved, but only to the extent that the Compact is consistent with IGRA. See 25 U.S.C. 2710(d)(8)(C). SUMMARY: Dated: January 2, 2014. Kevin K. The BLM received one comment. The comment was a general invective about the Federal government, the Department of the Interior, and the BLM. It did not address, and was not germane to, this information collection. Therefore, we have not changed the collection in response to the comment. The BLM now requests comments on the following subjects: 1. Whether the collection of information is necessary for the proper functioning of the BLM, including whether the information will have practical utility; 2. The accuracy of the BLM’s estimate of the burden of collecting the information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; 3. The quality, utility and clarity of the information to be collected; and 4. How to minimize the information collection burden on those who are to respond, including the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other forms of information technology.
