A final rule published on February 13, 2007 (72 FR 6883) set safety and oversight rules for a broad variety of sightseeing and commercial air tour flights. This final rule improved the overall safety of commercial air tours by requiring all air tour operators to abide by the safety provisions found in 14 CFR part 136.
