SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
On June 25, 2013, the FTC sought
public comment on the information
collection requirements associated with
the Prescreen Opt-Out Rule (June 25,
2013 Notice 1), its shared enforcement
with the Consumer Financial Protection

and the FTC’s associated PRA burden
analysis. No comments were received.
Pursuant to the OMB regulations, 5 CFR

Burden Statement
The FTC is seeking clearance for its
assumed share of the estimated PRA

Rules. The FTC’s assumed share of
estimated PRA burden, explained in the
June 25, 2013 Notice, is 974 hours and
$243,750 in labor costs, with the added
assumption that capital and other nonlabor costs should be minimal, at most,
since the Rule has been in effect several
years, with covered entities now
equipped to provide the required notice.
