Beginning in 1994, the Banking Supervisory Agencies and FinCEN redesigned the reporting process resulting in the Suspicious Activity Report, which became effective in April 1996. The report is authorized by 12 CFR 748.1 (NCUA). The regulation was issued under the authority contained in Section 1789(a) (NCUA). Current Action: NCUA proposes to renew, with revision, the previously approved form. Type of Review: Reinstatement of a previously approved collection. Affected Public: Business, for-profit institutions, and non-profit institutions. Estimated Number of Respondents: 6,753. Estimated Total Annual Responses: 67,537.
