Facility Description: The proposed
project would consist of: (1) an intake
pipeline; (2) a proposed powerhouse,
containing one 65-kilowatt generating
unit located on the 18-inch diameter
water supply pipeline, (3) a 200-footlong 18-inch diameter discharge
pipeline leading to the water treatment
plant; (4) a 150-foot-long 18-inch
diameter discharge pipe leading to Little
Sand Creek, which is to bypass
treatment plant when it not operating;
and (5) appurtenant facilities. The
proposed project would have an
estimated annual generating capacity
between 382.2 and 569.4 megawatthours.
A qualifying conduit hydropower
facility is one that is determined or
deemed to meet all of the criteria shown
in the table below.

manmade water conveyance that is operated for the distribution of water for agricultural,
municipal, or industrial consumption and not primarily for the generation of electricity.
The facility is constructed, operated, or maintained for the generation of electric power and
uses for such generation only the hydroelectric potential of a non-federally owned conduit.
The facility has an installed capacity that does not exceed 5 megawatts .............................
