SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice
of the matching program was last
published at 76 FR 24564–24565 (May
2, 2011). Members of the public desiring
specific information concerning an
ongoing matching activity may request a
copy of the applicable computer
matching agreement at the address
provided above.
Purpose
The purpose of this program is to
prevent or reduce fraud and abuse in
certain federally assisted benefit
programs while protecting the privacy
interest of the subjects of the match.
Information is disclosed by the Internal
Revenue Service only for the purpose of,
and to the extent necessary in,
determining eligibility for, and/or the
correct amount of, benefits for
individuals applying for or receiving
certain benefit payments.
Authority
In accordance with section 6103(l)(7)
of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), the
Secretary shall, upon written request,
disclose current return information from
returns with respect to unearned income
from the Internal Revenue Service files
to any federal, state or local agency
administering a program listed below:

(i) A state program funded under part
A of Title IV of the Social Security Act;
(ii) Medical assistance provided under
a state plan approved under Title XIX of
the Social Security Act, or subsidies
provided under section 1860D–14 of

benefits provided under Title XVI of the
Social Security Act, and federally
administered supplementary payments
of the type described in section 1616(a)
of such Act (including payments
pursuant to an agreement entered into

ACTION:
SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given of the
following hearing of the U.S.-China
Economic and Security Review
Commission.
Name: William A. Reinsch, Chairman
of the U.S.-China Economic and
Security Review Commission. The
Commission is mandated by Congress to
investigate, assess, and report to
Congress annually on ‘‘the national
security implications of the economic
relationship between the United States
and the People’s Republic of China.’’
Pursuant to this mandate, the
Commission will hold a public hearing
in Washington, DC on May 9, 2013,
‘‘Trends and Implications of Chinese
Investment in the United States.’’
Background: This is the fifth public
hearing the Commission will hold
during its 2013 report cycle to collect
input from academic, industry, and
government experts on national security
implications of the U.S. bilateral trade
and economic relationship with China.
This hearing will explore patterns of
Chinese investment in the U.S. and the
implications of that investment for U.S.
policymakers.
The hearing will be co-chaired by
Commissioners Carolyn Bartholomew
and Larry Wortzel. Any interested party
may file a written statement by May 9,
2013, by mailing to the contact below.
A portion of each panel will include a
question and answer period between the
Commissioners and the witnesses.
