The benefit is similar to the benefit provided under the domestic WIC program. Respondents are individuals who are dependents of members of the armed forces stationed overseas, dependents of a civilian employee of a military department stationed overseas, and DoD contractors and their dependents stationed overseas who desire to receive supplemental food and nutrition education services. To be eligible for program, a person must meet specific income guidelines. In determining income eligibility, the Department will use the Department of Health and Human Services income poverty table for the state of Alaska.
