The in-stream option would consist of the following: (1) A gated water intake canal; (2) a 70-foot by 55foot by 35-foot turbine structure enclosing two in-stream VLH turbine generators operating at 500 kilowatts kW; and (3) appurtenant facilities. The short diversion method would consist of the following: (1) a gated water intake canal; (2) a concrete trough diversion channel approximately 30 feet wide and 150 feet in length; (3) a 70-foot by 55foot by 35-foot turbine structure enclosing four screw turbine generators operating at 250 kW; and (4) appurtenant facilities. The proposed project would have a total installed capacity of 1 megawatt and generate an estimated average annual energy production of 5,000 megawatt-hours by diverting existing stream flow into the diversion canal.
