SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,
Public Law 104–13 (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently, the IRS is

Abstract: Form 13803, Application to
Participate in the Income Verification
Express Service (IVES) Program, is used
to submit the required information
necessary to complete the e-services
enrollment process for IVES users and
to identify delegates receiving
transcripts on behalf of the principle
account user.
Current Actions: There is no change
in the paperwork burden previously
approved by OMB. This form is being
submitted for renewal purposes only.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Businesses and other
for-profit organizations.
Estimated Number of Respondents:
200.
Estimated Time per Respondent: 30
minutes.
Estimated Total Annual Burden
Hours: 100.

Recruitment of IRS Taxpayer Advocacy
Panel (TAP) Members.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Notice is
hereby given that the Department of the
Treasury and the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) are inviting individuals to
help improve the nation’s tax agency by
applying to be members of the Taxpayer
Advocacy Panel (TAP). The mission of
the TAP is to listen to taxpayers,
identify issues that affect taxpayers, and
make suggestions for improving IRS
service and customer satisfaction. The
TAP serves as an advisory body to the
Secretary of the Treasury, the
Commissioner of Internal Revenue, and
the National Taxpayer Advocate. TAP
members will participate in
subcommittees that channel their
feedback to the IRS through the Panel’s
parent committee.
The IRS is seeking applicants who
have an interest in good government, a
personal commitment to volunteer
approximately 200 to 300 hours a year,
and a desire to help improve IRS
customer service. To the extent possible,
the TAP Director will ensure that TAP
membership is balanced and represents
a cross-section of the taxpaying public
with at least one member from each
state and the District of Columbia. In
addition, the TAP is seeking to include
at least one member representing
international taxpayers. For these
purposes, ‘‘international taxpayers’’ are
broadly defined to include U.S. citizens
working, living, or doing business
abroad or in a U.S. territory. Potential
candidates must be U.S. citizens and
must pass an IRS tax compliance check
