AGENCY:
In accordance with the
Federal Land Policy and Management
Act (FLPMA) and the Federal Advisory
Committee Act of 1972 (FACA), the U.S.
Department of the Interior, Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) Eastern
Montana Resource Advisory Council
(RAC) will meet as indicated below.
DATES: The next regular meeting of the
Eastern Montana RAC will be held on
March 6, 2013 in Miles City, Montana.
The meeting will start at 8:00 a.m. and
adjourn at approximately 3:30 p.m.
ADDRESSES: When determined, the
meeting location will be announced in
a news release.

the Interior through the BLM on a
variety of planning and management
issues associated with public land
management in Montana. At these
meetings, topics will include: Miles City
and Billings Field Office manager
updates, subcommittee briefings, work
sessions and other issues that the
council may raise. All meetings are
open to the public and the public may
present written comments to the
council. Each formal RAC meeting will
also have time allocated for hearing
public comments. Depending on the
number of persons wishing to comment
and time available, the time for
individual oral comments may be
limited. Individuals who plan to attend
and need special assistance, such as
sign language interpretation, tour
transportation or other reasonable
accommodations should contact the
BLM as provided above.

will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a half-hour
orientation session for new members.
The general meeting will begin at 10:00
a.m. and end no later than 3:30 p.m. The
public comment period will be held
from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meeting
will be held at the Coeur d’Alene BLM
District Office located at 3815 Schreiber
Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83815.
Meeting proceedings may also be
viewed by the public through video
conferencing technology at the
Cottonwood Field Office located at 1
Butte Drive, Cottonwood, Idaho 83522.

The 15member RAC advises the Secretary of
the Interior, through the Bureau of Land
Management, on a variety of planning
and management issues associated with
public land management in Idaho. The
agenda will include the following main
topics: A presentation regarding the
BLM’s proposed Sheep Fire Salvage
Timber Sale and a presentation by the
Clearwater and Nez Perce National
Forests regarding a national forest
recreation site review to the Recreation
RAC Subcommittee. The agenda will
also include updates from the Coeur
d’Alene and Cottonwood Field Offices.
Additional agenda topics or changes to
the agenda will be announced in local
press releases. More information is

meetings are open to the public. The
public may present written comments to
the RAC in advance of the meeting or
during the scheduled public forum the
