Farmland Reserve, Inc., has submitted a formal proposal for the acquisition of 208.12 acres of public land in Sheridan County. A direct sale was initiated to purchase only lands solely within the boundaries of a ranch where there is no legal access or adjacent landowners. The parcels are difficult for the BLM to manage. The lands would continue to be used for ranching operations. The proposed sale of the identified public land is in the initial stages of processing. On February 4, 2013, the abovedescribed land will be segregated from appropriation under the public land laws, including the mining laws, except the sale provisions of the FLPMA. Until completion of the sale, the BLM is no longer accepting land use applications affecting the identified public land, except applications for the amendment of previously-filed right-of-way applications or existing authorizations to increase the term of the grants in accordance with 43 CFR 2807.15 and 2886.15. The segregative effect will terminate upon issuance of a patent, publication in the Federal Register of a termination of the segregation, or February 4, 2015, unless extended by the BLM State Director in accordance with 43 CFR 2711.1–2(d) prior to the termination date. AGENCY: The Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Work Group (AMWG) makes recommendations to the Secretary of the Interior concerning Glen Canyon Dam operations and other management actions to protect resources downstream of Glen Canyon Dam, consistent with the Grand Canyon Protection Act. The AMWG meets two to three times a year.
