ACTION: Notice of Public Meeting and Hearing. AGENCY: Pursuant to the provisions of the ‘‘Government in the Sunshine Act’’ (5 U.S.C. 552b), and as authorized by 42 U.S.C. 2286b, notice is hereby given of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board’s (Board) public meeting and hearing described below. The Board invites any interested persons or groups to present any comments, technical information, or data concerning safety issues related to the matters to be considered. TIME AND DATE OF MEETING: Session I: 1:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m., March 14, 2013; Session II: 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., March 14, 2013. PLACE: Amarillo Civic Center, 401 S. Buchanan Street, Amarillo, Texas 79101. The Board will focus on plans and capabilities to respond to a site emergency, demonstrated performance in drills and exercises, and preparation for severe events resulting from natural phenomena, such as the event that occurred at the Fukushima Daiichi complex. During Session II, the Board will receive testimony concerning safety at Pantex defense nuclear facilities.
