Notice of Naturalization Oath
Ceremony.
(3) Agency form number, if any, and
the applicable component of the DHS
sponsoring the collection: N–445;
USCIS.
(4) Affected public who will be asked
or required to respond, as well as a brief
abstract: Primary: Individuals or
households. The information furnished
on Form N–445 refers to events that may
have occurred since the applicant’s
initial interview and prior to the
administration of the oath of allegiance.
Several months may elapse between
these dates and the information that is
provided assists the officer to make and
render an appropriate decision on the
application. USCIS will use this
information to determine if any changes
to the respondent’s prior statements
affect the decisions the agency has made
in regards to the respondent’s ability to
be naturalized.
(5) An estimate of the total number of
respondents and the amount of time
estimated for an average respondent to
respond: 900,000.
(6) An estimate of the total public
burden (in hours) associated with the
collection: 149,400.

30-Day Notice.
The Department of Homeland
Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS) will be
submitting the following information
collection request to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) for
review and clearance in accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act of
1995. The information collection notice
was previously published in the Federal
Register on August 17, 2012, at 77 FR
49822, allowing for a 60-day public
comment period. USCIS did receive a
comment in connection with the 60-day
notice.
DATES: The purpose of this notice is to
allow an additional 30 days for public
comments. Comments are encouraged
and will be accepted until December 10,
2012. This process is conducted in
accordance with 5 CFR 1320.10.
