Tentative agenda items for the upcoming meetings include but are not limited to: Fencing in and around the No Livestock Grazing Area within the Steens Mountain Wilderness; current and potential litigation; the North Steens Transmission Line Project; the Blizten Stewardship contract; projects in the Wildlands Juniper Management Area; wildfire, emergency stabilization and rangeland rehabilitation; wild horses and wild horse management; land exchanges and acquisitions, the Steens Mountain Comprehensive Recreation Plan; the South Steens Allotment Management Plan; the Chimney Allotment Management Plan; and planning future meeting agendas, dates, and locations. Any other matters that may reasonably come before the SMAC may also be addressed. This meeting is open to the public in its entirety. Information to be distributed to the SMAC is requested prior to the start of each meeting. The withdrawal extended by this order will expire on November 11, 2032, unless as a result of a review conducted prior to the expiration date pursuant to Section 204(f) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, 43 U.S.C. 1714(f), the Secretary determines that the withdrawal shall be further extended.
