ACTION:
In accordance with the
Federal Land Policy and Management
Act and the Federal Advisory
Committee Act of 1972, the U.S.
Department of the Interior, Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) Carrizo Plain
National Monument Advisory Council
(MAC) will meet as indicated below.
DATES: The meeting will be held on
Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the
Carrisa Plains Elementary School,
located approximately 2 miles
northwest of Soda Lake Road on
Highway 58. The meeting will begin at
10:00 a.m. and finish at 2:00 p.m. The
meeting will focus on the proposed
Travel Management Plan. There will be
a public comment period from 1:00 p.m.
to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be available for
under $10.

Notice is hereby given, in
accordance with Public Laws 92–463
and 94–579, that the California Desert
District Advisory Council (DAC) to the
Bureau of Land Management (BLM),
U.S. Department of the Interior, will
meet in formal session on Saturday,
December 1, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. at the Cal Works Bldg., 2895 S 4th
St, El Centro, CA 92243. There also will
be a field trip on Friday, November 30,
from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on BLMadministered lands. Field trip details
will be posted on the DAC Web page,
https://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/rac/
dac.html, when finalized.
Agenda topics for the Saturday
meeting will include a focus on cultural
resource management, as well as
updates by council members, the BLM
California Desert District manager, five
field office managers, and council
subgroups. Final agenda items will be
posted on the DAC Web page listed
above.
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: All DAC
meetings are open to the public. Public
comment for items not on the agenda
will be scheduled at the beginning of
the meeting Saturday morning. Time for
public comment may be made available
by the council chairman during the
presentation of various agenda items,
and is scheduled at the end of the
meeting for topics not on the agenda.
While the Saturday meeting is
tentatively scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m., the meeting could conclude
prior to 4:30 p.m. should the council
conclude its presentations and
discussions. Therefore, members of the
public interested in a particular agenda
item or discussion should schedule
their arrival accordingly. Written
comments may be filed in advance of

Extension and Opportunity for Public
Meeting; OR

ACTION: Notice.
AGENCY:
The Assistant Secretary of the
Interior for Policy, Management and
Budget proposes to extend the duration
of Public Land Order (PLO) No. 6963 for
an additional 20-year term. PLO No.
6963 withdrew 257.60 acres of public
land from settlement, sale, location, or
entry under the general land laws,
including the United States mining
laws, but not from leasing under the
mineral leasing laws, to protect the
natural values of the Florence Sand
Dunes (FSD). This notice also amends
the land description and acreage in PLO
No. 6963 and gives an opportunity to
comment on the proposed action and to
request a public meeting.
DATES: Comments must be received on
or before January 29, 2013.
