AGENCY:
The New England Fishery
Management Council (Council) is
scheduling a public meeting of its
Scallop Oversight Committee to
consider actions affecting New England
fisheries in the exclusive economic zone
(EEZ). Recommendations from this
group will be brought to the full Council
for formal consideration and action, if
appropriate.
SUMMARY:
This meeting will be held on
Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Committee will review input from both
the Scallop Plan Development Team
and Advisory Panel on Framework 24.
The Committee will make final
recommendations for the full Council to
consider at the November Council
meeting. Other business may be
discussed.
Although non-emergency issues not
contained in this agenda may come
before this group for discussion, those
issues may not be the subject of formal
action during this meeting. Action will
be restricted to those issues specifically
listed in this notice and any issues
arising after publication of this notice
that require emergency action under
section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens
Act, provided the public has been
notified of the Council’s intent to take
final action to address the emergency.

schedule of a forthcoming meeting of
the DoC NOAA National Climate
Assessment and Development Advisory
Committee (NCADAC).
Time and Date: The meeting will be
held November 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.–
5:30 p.m. and November 15 from 8:30
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Place: This meeting will be held at the
Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans
Plaza located at One Veterans Place
Silver Spring, MD 20910. Please check
the National Climate Assessment Web
site for additional information at

Status: Seating will be available on a
first come, first serve basis. Members of
the public must RSVP in order to attend
all or a portion of the meeting by

MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED:

National Climate Assessment and
Development Advisory Committee was
established in December 2010. The
committee’s mission is to synthesize
and summarize the science and
information pertaining to current and
future impacts of climate change upon
the United States; and to provide advice
and recommendations toward the
development of an ongoing, sustainable
national assessment of global change
impacts and adaptation and mitigation
strategies for the Nation. Within the
scope of its mission, the committee’s
specific objective is to produce a
National Climate Assessment.
