U.S. Department of Agriculture National
Advisory Committee on Meat and
Poultry Inspection.
AGENCY:
The U.S. Department of
Agriculture intends to reestablish the
National Advisory Committee on Meat
and Poultry Inspection. The purpose of
the Committee is to provide advice to
the Secretary of Agriculture concerning
State and Federal programs with respect
to meat, poultry, and processed egg
products inspection, food safety, and
other matters that fall with the scope of
the Federal Meat Inspection Act (FMIA)
and the Poultry Products Inspection Act
(PPIA).

Background
Pursuant to the Federal Advisory
Committee Act (FACA) (5 U.S.C. App.),
notice is hereby given that the Secretary
of Agriculture intends to reestablish the
National Advisory Committee on Meat
and Poultry Inspection for two years.
The Committee provides advice and
recommendations to the Secretary on
meat and poultry inspection programs,
pursuant to sections 7(c), 24, 301(a)(3),
and 301(c) of the Federal Meat
Inspection Act, 21 U.S.C. 607(c), 624,
645, 661(a)(3), and 661(c), and to

Notice of meeting.
AGENCY:
ACTION:
The Kenai PeninsulaAnchorage Borough Resource Advisory
Committee will meet in Girdwood,
Alaska. The committee is authorized
under the Secure Rural Schools and
Community Self-Determination Act
(Pub. L. 110–343) (the Act) and operates
in compliance with the Federal
Advisory Committee Act. The purpose
of the committee is to improve
collaborative relationships and to
provide advice and recommendations to
the Forest Service concerning projects
and funding consistent with the title II
of the Act. The meeting is open to the
public. The purpose of the meeting is
for the monitoring of current projects. If
authorized by the meeting time, RAC
members will review new projects and
make recommendations to the Forest
Service.
SUMMARY:
The meeting will be held on
September 15, 2012, 10:00 a.m.
