interested individuals and entities are

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line
Company, LLC; Notice of Availability
of the Environmental Assessment for
the Proposed Northeast Supply Link
Project
The staff of the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC or
Commission) has prepared an
environmental assessment (EA) for the
Northeast Supply Link Project (Project)
proposed by Transcontinental Gas Pipe
Line Company (Transco) in the abovereferenced docket. Transco requests
authorization to construct and operate
certain pipeline and compressor
facilities in New York, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania in order to expand the
natural gas delivery capacity to the
northeast region of the United States by
up to 250,000 dekatherms per year.
The EA assesses the potential
environmental effects of the
construction and operation of the
Project in accordance with the
requirements of the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The
FERC staff concludes that approval of
the proposed project, with appropriate
