Japan to the list of regions that APHIS
has declared free of FMD (formerly in
§ 94.1) and to the list of FMD-free
regions that are subject to additional
restrictions because they supplement
their national meat supply by the
importation of fresh (chilled or frozen)
meat of ruminants or swine from regions
that APHIS considers to be affected with
rinderpest or FMD, or have a common
land border with such regions, or import
ruminants or swine from such regions
under conditions less restrictive than
would be acceptable for importation
into the United States (formerly in
§ 94.11). These lists are maintained on
the APHIS Web site at https://
www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/
animals/animal_disease_status.shtml.
