The Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 reauthorized the program through 2012. This program is administered by Cooperative Programs within USDA’s Rural Development. Cooperative Programs uses the collected information to confirm that the applicant and use of funds meet the eligibility requirements for the program as well as to assess the quality of the proposed project. Grantees are required to submit financial status and performance reports to confirm that progress is being made toward achieving the stated goals of the project. A final report is submitted at the completion of the grant agreement.
